What's Bugging You?

Today's beautiful story is that it was a picture perfect day. Not a cloud in the sky, warm temps in the low 70's and lush green leaves on the trees. Spring in New England.  What's not to love?  The BUGS!

I stood outside this evening talking with my landlord and it wasn't long before I started swatting at those little no see ums. Probably not much of a health risk but, ugh, such a nuisance.  

The real health risks are the mosquitoes and the ticks.  This time of year nearly every day there is mention of the Zika Virus, Lyme Disease, West Nile and others. Makes me want to never step out of the house unprotected. However while reading about DEET I found this on the FDA website:

Yikes, you mean that every time I want to go outside and I spray myself with repellent I have to jump in the shower and throw my clothes in the wash when I come back in? I don't have time for all that!
